Update: The Relocation of QA

Queen Alexandra Sixth Form College to remain at Wallsend till at least summer 2023

We have had numerous enquiries from prospective students looking to study with us from September 2021, with regard to where year two of their A Level studies would be taking place. With that in mind, we have made the decision to remain at our dedicated premises in Wallsend until at least summer 2023. Feedback from current students and their parents has been hugely positive, not just about the new location and facilities, but the standard of teaching and support they are receiving at this challenging time.

Mrs C Chilvers, parent of A Level student comments:

Just a quick message to say thank you to all of the staff. Despite all of the challenges of the year so far, my son has settled in well at QA. The efforts of all of the staff are much appreciated.

Elizabeth Tyas and Kate-Lyn Kennedy, students at QA, add:

We were dreading lockdown, but have been so impressed with how the college has catered to everyone's needs and supported learning and mental health.

We hope this announcement reassures prospective students and their parents. We will of course continue to update our stakeholders and the community of North Tyneside on our plans for the disposal of the site at Hawkeys Lane. In the meantime, if you have any queries or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us enquiries@queenalex.co.uk. You can also view our FAQs about the relocation.
