Our HND Fine Art Students create Online Exhibition showcasing their Artwork
HND Fine Art students have created an exciting online exhibition ‘Pixelated-Art in Lockdown’- showcasing the artwork they have made on the course this year both in and out of Lockdown. The online exhibition offers a diverse range of artwork from both year 1 and year 2 students, giving students an opportunity to tell their own story. Materials and processes employed by the students range from painting, printmaking, digital photography, embroidery and mixed media. Sandra Earl, HND Art and Design (Art Practice) Course Leader at Queen Alexandra said:
I am so proud of the achievements of my Fine Art (Art Practice) students in both creating their individual artwork and then in being able to showcase it in this way. The creation of this online Exhibition has been an inspirational challenge. Year two students all worked collaboratively to plan and present the digital show which includes examples of year one work as well. I am very grateful to all students in being able to create and crucially share their work with the world in this way– especially in these unprecedented times. Special praise and thanks for going the extra mile to Erin Howe who designed and created the Exhibition website and uploaded all the work and to Shona Fraser who created the poster and did the labelling. Creativity can be a great healer both for the artist and the viewer -so I do hope you take time out to visit and enjoy this Exhibition.
