Mathematics is an endlessly fascinating and enjoyable subject. Students undertaking maths courses like the challenges presented by the subject and the clarity of each solution. In maths, you know when you’re right. Logical analysis, deduction and calculation within patterns and structures form the basis of mathematics.
When students discover patterns, often in widely different areas of science and technology, they can use them to explain and control natural happenings and situations. Students are therefore undertaking a subject that has immediate relevance to the world around them.
An A level qualification in maths can lead to university study and will improve students’ employment prospects.
