Arts at Queen Alexandra Sixth Form
All art and design subjects are concerned with students’ creative expression. The majority of students undertake at least one arts subject as part of their A level studies. Art and design courses are exciting and fulfilling. As well as practical, hands-on learning and in-depth theoretical lessons, students make visits to real-world creative environments, locally, nationally and even internationally.
Students are positively encouraged to undertake live projects, sharing their work with the public from the beginning of their studies. They are also encouraged to enter competitions and participate in exhibitions. Progression routes from art and design A levels are numerous. Depending on the programme they undertake, students may move on to Higher Education or employment in film, promotions, fashion, media, fine art, graphics, photography or creative and media.
