In AS/A2 Media you will develop the ability to criticise media texts and also the chance to understand how the media represents different groups of people within the media. You will create your own media texts as part of your practical coursework.

A wide range of media texts will be explored and discussed: film, TV, music, newspapers, magazines and advertising. You’ll visit Northumbria University and the University of Sunderland on study trips and the Sixth Form College has close links with the Tyneside Cinema.
