Course requirements

Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs at Grade A* to C, including Maths and ICT.

Study Units
AS - Theory – Information, Systems & Applications and Structured ICT Tasks.

A2 - Theory – ICT Systems, Applications and Implications, ICT Project.

Assessment
AS/A2 - 60% of the course is based on one exam and 40% on coursework throughout the course.

Course content

Almost all of us use some form of ICT every day – it’s a huge part of modern living across the world. It is vitally important to many jobs and this course could put you ahead of the game when choosing your career. You’ll look at the impact of ICT and Computing in society, applications, hardware and software.

Higher Education – Computer Progamming, Computer Science, Computing and Engineering, ICT teaching/PGCE.

Careers include Computer or Games Programmer, ICT Technician, ICT Consultant and Teacher.
