Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs Grade A* to C including English Language at Grade B.

Study Units
AS - Britain 1906-1951 – a period which saw huge social and political upheaval. Anti-Semitism – Hitler and the German People 1919-1945.

A2 - International Relations 1945 - 2004 (Examination) Conflict and Revolution in the Americas circa 1845 - 1960 (Coursework)

Assessment
AS - 100% exam.

A2 - 60% exam and 40% coursework.

Course content

We all learn from things we’ve done in the past and studying History helps you make sense of the present by looking at the past. You’ll discover how previous events have shaped the world we know today and decide for yourself what would have happened if things had been different. You will investigate a variety of sources to evidence your work and develop essential expertise such as independent thinking and organisational skills.

Careers include Historian, Teacher, Lawyer, Accountant, Librarian or Journalist. Higher Education – Human or Physical Geography.
