Study Units
AS - The AS General Studies programme encourages thinking and skills to be applied to four themes: Science and Technology; Society and Politics; Art & Media; Business & Industry; Beliefs and Values.

A2 - The A2 General Studies programme offers flexibility for students who wish to broaden their area of study and, in particular, to develop skills of analysis and evaluation.

Course content

General Studies is an AS/A2 Level qualification that you can work towards alongside your other AS/A2 subjects. General Studies is a skills-based course which prepares you for the academic and intellectual demands of Higher Education, future employment and personal development. It can boost your employability skills and support your university application and it also gives you the opportunity to improve your ICT skills throughout the programme.

This qualification supports a wide range of skills including organisation, evaluation and analytical skills which appeal to employers and are useful when progressing into Higher Education.
