5 GCSEs Grade A* to C Including Grade B in English Language and Grade C in English Literature.

Study Units
AS - Categorising Texts and Creating Texts.

A2 - Developing Language and Investigating Language.

Assessment
AS/A2 - 60% exam and 40% coursework

Course content

The study of English Language is all about exploring and understanding what we write and how we speak. You’ll analyse and investigate a wide variety of texts taken from everyday sources as well as delving into the diversities of spoken and written English. This will develop your skills for a wide variety of careers.

This course can lead to a wide range of Higher Education courses or careers. Study could include, English, History, Geography, Teaching.
