Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs Grade A* to C including Grade B in English Language and Grade C in English Literature.

Study Units
AS - Introduction to Language and Literature and Themes in Language and Literature.

A2 - Talk in Life and Literature and Text Transformations.

Assessment
AS/A2 - 60% exam and 40% coursework.

Course content

This course offers you the chance to combine both disciplines of English Language and English Literature to develop your speaking and writing skills. It’s a diverse and stimulating subject with which you’ll develop your thinking skills and apply them to a wide range of texts from different time periods.

Progression and Careers

English Language and Literature is an academic discipline which develops a wide range of skills. When it comes to Higher Education, it lends itself well to most humanities or arts-based courses including: English, History, Geography, Teaching Degrees.
