AS - Starting a Business – the challenges and issues, enterprise and entrepreneurs Financial Planning – key financial concepts, start-up, cashflow, contribution and break even.

A2 - Strategies for Success – Marketing, Human Resources, Operational and Financial Strategies, Corporate Aims and Objectives.

Assessment
Written exams.

Course content

You might have an invention good enough to impress ‘Dragons’ Den’, but do you have the business know-how? On this course you’ll examine the challenges and opportunities of starting and managing a business. It explores the key internal functions and how to improve the effectiveness and performance of a company.

Progression and Careers

Higher Education – a Business related degree such as Business Finance or International Business.

Careers include Banking and Finance, Insurance, Administration, Marketing or Business Development Consultancy.
